We had our kickoff meeting last night! I am blown away by the time and love people are giving to our family... and last night my friends were challenging me to not limit God with this fundraiser... they are praying BIG!!! Please join with us in praying for big things to happen with our Both Hands fundraiser! Message or email me if you'd like to know how to help... I have roles for people both near and far! Lifesong for Orphans has also attached a 3,000 matching grant to our Both Hands fundraising! Please pray for God's blessing over the work of "both" our hands!
Joel is picking the Uhaul up today! Tomorrow we will take our load of bags and books to Chicago before heading to Hudson's trial injection! The girls will be happy to be able to walk into their room instead of crawl over bags ;) We'll let you know how much we weighed in at and how much money you all helped us raise! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
This is a blanket God Himself is weaving. I've got to say... it makes me kind of nervous. I know, how weird is that. I want this blanket to be meaningful, but I also wanted it to be pretty for her. But I set up the rules... and whoever helps or donates gets to pick the next color. And yet... here it is. More beautiful than I could have imagined. This adoption is like that. I agonized... and I mean AGONIZED over whether to step out. Would God REALLY do this??? I am not worthy... that's not the point. China is so big and expensive... seriously, are you going to bring that up again? I could go on. But the point is... God is the one weaving this adoption. And He's doing a MUCH better and more intricate job than I ever could. He is taking people, organizations, foundations, agencies, etc. that I never would have dreamed would have partnered with us, and He is making this thing a beautiful work of art. Please pray with us as we continue to fight this giant... knowing it isn't us, but God every step of the way!
I am happy to share that Andy Plaster won the giveaway I did in conjunction with the Raise the Dough Fundraiser!!!!
Our friend, Erin Shalley, is pulling together a fundraiser for us the morning of Saturday, June 18! She has been collecting and keeping alive donated splits and starters... Saturday is your day to come and fill your garden while supporting our adoption!!! How cool is this idea!?! Thank you, Erin!!!!
I'm sure I will sound like a broken record after a while, but I can't believe what God is doing! Only God could have planned all of this. At first we thought we needed 100 bags to have someone from Savers come pick them up for us... then I re-read the email and it was actually 150! I did NOT think we'd get that many bags... BUT we've got some awesome people both in Warsaw area and in the Indy area keeping Joel's truck super busy these days! Not only have we met the 150 bags goal... 152 currently! But we still have lots more bags coming in! At 20 cents per pound, I think this is going to be a very productive Fundraiser!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Very excited to let you know about our Reece's Rainbow Family Account! 100% of funds go directly to us at the end of the process when you mail a check, and if you donate online, it just deducts the paypal fee. Also, it is all tax deductible!!! Follow the link on our home page here on the blog to donate :)
We were incredibly blessed to be a part of the "Raise the Dough" adoption fundraiser at Silveus Insurance in Warsaw, IN! God really showed us we were not alone!

BeckyI'm a mom to almost 6... 3 adopted, and 3 homegrown! We pass our days with medical and therapy appointments, home-based education, climbing trees, and crocheting as much as possible. The fact that Jesus released us from the consequence and the power of sin, empowers us to live and do what He has called us to... Amen! Archives
